13 years of Liberal waste takes its toll on Tasmania
Thirteen years of Liberal waste is taking a serious toll on Tasmania.
Last week, we saw the worst consequence yet, with the announcement of a half-a-billion dollar bailout for the bungled Spirits replacement project as the centrepiece of the Liberals’ budget.
This is money that can’t be spent on schools and hospitals, at the same time Eric Abetz is shaping up to cut thousands of jobs and services Tasmanians rely on.
We also saw the Liberals abandon TasInsure, which despite their gaslighting since, shows their signature election policy was nothing more than a lie that they could never deliver.
Instead, Tasmanians will receive a new oversight body which instead of saving them $250 on their insurance like promised, will cost them millions of dollars in the budget.
These two developments don’t bode well for Eric Abetz’ budget on Thursday, a budget which already has Tasmanians bracing for impact.
After 13 years of Liberal waste Premier Rockliff has put Eric Abetz in charge of cutting jobs, and it’s Tasmanians who will ultimately pay the price.
