7,000 jobs lost from Tasmania’s economy
7,000 jobs have been lost from the Tasmanian economy since the Liberals sold out workers to form Government in August last year.
Earlier this month, Premier Rockliff stood in front of Tasmania’s business leaders and claimed unemployment had remained “around 4 per cent or lower”.
That was not true then, and today’s ABS jobs data has exposed him again.
Tasmania’s unemployment rate is 5.0 per cent – the highest in the nation and well above the national average of 4.4 per cent.
After 13 years of Liberal waste, there is nothing to show for it except the worst unemployment in the nation, the worst underemployment in the nation, and jobs and public services on Eric Abetz’s chopping block.
