Jacqui Lambie Network & David O’Byrne back cuts, oppose transparency

31 July 2024

After providing their unconditional support for the Liberals' budget and the $300 million of cuts it will contain, the Jacqui Lambie Network and David O'Byrne have today voted to keep the details of those cuts hidden from Tasmanians.

The Jacqui Lambie Network said they stood for transparency - but every time they're given a chance to prove it, they back in the Liberals instead.

Just yesterday their MPs were saying they believe all Tasmanians should be able to access the health services they need - today they voted to keep the impact of health cuts secret.

The Jacqui Lambie Network MPs have been a huge disappointment. Tasmanians thought they were electing fighters like Jacqui - instead, they've elected frauds.

Labor will not stop trying to get to the bottom of what these cuts will means for our schools, hospitals, and emergency services.

Tasmanians will rightly be wondering why the Jacqui Lambie Network and David O'Byrne won't do the same.

Shadow Treasurer
