Liberal lies continue

Liberal lies continue

New evidence relating to the Liberals’ TasRacing/TasInsure scandal has given Tasmanians even more reason to never believe a word Jeremy Rockliff says.

On Tuesday, the Premier told Parliament that “Mr Turner did not tell the adviser the intention was to distribute the words as a general message to industry.”

Today, it has been revealed that Mr Turner in fact sent an email to the adviser titled “Message to industry”, before receiving acknowledgement over the phone that the message was “ok for tonight now”.

If it looks like a message to industry, sounds like a message to industry and is even titled “Message to industry”, it’s a message to industry.

But despite the indisputable evidence that Jane Howlett’s office knew about the communication, the Liberals have attempted to gaslight Tasmanians that they did not.

The Premier still hasn’t answered questions about whether or not his office had any role in preparing, requesting, reviewing or approving the staff member’s statutory declaration before it was tabled in Parliament.

What else are they trying to hide?
