Liberals keep waste hidden until last minute

Each year in April and October the Government is required to disclose Ministerial spending information.

The information includes government spending on things like wages for the Liberals’ army of advisors and travel and accommodation costs for Ministers.

Today is the last day of April and there’s still been no update.

Previous disclosures have revealed the eye-watering waste associated with employing a football-team sized Government media unit filled with extravagantly paid spin doctors.

We’ve also seen information released exposing the sky-high cost of Ministers’ international airfares.

Will the Liberals disclose this information today, like they are required to?

Or are they trying to hide any evidence of their waste until after the Legislative Council elections? The timing of the delay seems very suspicious.

The public deserves to know, because after all it’s Tasmanians who are paying the price for 13 years of Liberal waste through Eric Abetz’ cuts.
