After an exceptionally shaky start which saw a staff exodus on the eve of parliament’s return and members voting against each other on the floor, even more cracks have emerged in the Jacqui Lambie Network.

The Examiner has revealed that the Tasmanian JLN members are already fighting with their Federal office.

“It is understood the three new JLN state members were unhappy with what they perceived as interference from the federal branch, and the two departed staffers were seen as being too attached to Ms Lambie.”

With no policies or positions except opposing the salmon industry, it’s not controversial to suggest Rebekah Pentland, Andrew Jenner and Miriam Beswick were elected due to Jacqui Lambie’s name recognition.

Now, it appears they are trying to escape from her at the earliest opportunity.

This is not a good sign for the ongoing stability of the fledgling party, which is the only thing propping up Jeremy Rockliff’s minority government.
