Tasmanians are rightly proud of Hydro and the clean, renewable energy advantage generations built.
Hydro has powered our homes, supported major industries, and helped build communities across Tasmania.
That advantage should drive our next phase of economic growth, attract investment, and create secure, well-paid jobs.
But One Nation wants to scrap net zero and throw it away.
In Tasmania, net zero is not an abstract mainland debate. It is an achievement made possible by Hydro and one of our greatest economic strengths.
At a time when we are fighting to protect Bell Bay Aluminium and attract new industries, Tasmania should be building on that advantage - not walking away from it.
After allowing One Nation to dictate its weak position on firearms reform, Tasmanians should ask what else the Liberals will trade away to protect their political future.
The Liberals tried to sell Hydro. Now they are preparing to rely on a party that would squander everything it has delivered.
I will always stand up for Hydro, our renewable energy advantage, and the jobs it can create.
A Liberal-One Nation government would be a disaster for Tasmania’s energy security, economy, and future.
