Premier losing the plot

Premier Rockliff is losing the plot.

Over the past two-and-a-half weeks Tasmanians have witnessed the Premier:

• Abandon his signature election promise
• Provide a half-a-billion dollar bailout payment to TT-Line
• Put Eric Abetz in charge of making nearly $1.5 billion worth of public sector cuts, including $700 million from health
• Betray cancer patients in his own electorate with another broken promise
• Watch his Government leak Ruth Forrest’s private medical information to the media and refuse to apologise to her
• Sit by and pretend nothing had happened despite knowing his Minister had misled Parliament.

But instead of defending or even answering questions about any of these issues today in Budget Estimates, the Premier gave perhaps his worst performance yet.

He looked exhausted, defeated and resigned to the fact that his web of lies and deceit is finally catching up with him.
