You can drive a truck through Infrastructure Minister Kerry Vincent’s flimsy argument in defence of the Premier’s blatant attempt to deceive the public about the Bridgewater Bridge being on time and on budget.
You can’t drive a truck over the Bridgewater Bridge, because it’s not finished yet – even though the Liberals said it would be.
Minister Vincent’s attempts to justify the $200 million budget increase are also extraordinary. What kind of government would try and build a bridge without considering the traffic interchanges at each end?
The answer – the kind of government that would order nearly a billion-dollars’ worth of ships without considering where they would berth them.
The Bridgewater Bridge is not on time, and nor is it on budget.
The Premier needs to correct the record.
