Rockliff confirms he’s making it up as he goes on health

15 July 2025

After 11 years of ignoring primary health, Jeremy Rockliff has today confirmed that he’s making it up as he goes as he desperately tries to follow Labor’s lead.

When Labor announced TassieDoc, which will see Tasmanians be able to access regular doctors for free, Rockliff said his government was “already doing it”, and that they “announced the first clinic in Legana yesterday”.

Today, Rockliff claimed that a new precinct in the Huon Valley would be “the first of our five new GP bulk-billing clinics”.

Both can’t be true.

After 11 years of doing next to nothing while Tasmanians waited to see a doctor for free, the Liberals have confirmed they are making it up as they go.

Tasmania needs a fresh start, with a fresh government. The best way to make that happen is to vote Labor.

Shadow Minister for Health
