Rockliff’s TT-Line accusation beggars belief

Rockliff’s TT-Line accusation beggars belief

Premier Jeremy Rockliff’s accusation that Labor’s policy to clean up the Liberals’ Spirits mess will “reduce TT-Line to a shell” beggars belief.

It is an outrageous claim from the person who was at the helm of the biggest infrastructure stuff up of all time.

On Captain Rockliff’s watch the Spirits replacement project saw $717 million worth of blowouts, because his Government famously forgot to build a wharf.

The Liberal waste associated with the Spirits was so bad it led the Auditor-General to find the company was insolvent, requiring $575 million worth of bailouts just to stay afloat.

Talk about reducing a company to a shell.

Tasmanians will be paying the price for the Liberals’ mismanagement for generations to come, and so far, the only answer Premier Rockliff has is to throw endless money at his problem.
