Tasmanians waiting six years to see a specialist, $700 million health cuts on the way

More shocking health data has put the $700 million worth of cuts Eric Abetz is making to the Tasmanian health under the spotlight.

The Australian Medical Association has sounded the alarm on near six year long waits to see specialists.

Waiting more than 2,000 days to see a neurologist or a urologist is unacceptable by any measure, and it is disappointing that efforts by doctors to work through outpatient lists have been rejected by the department.

Tasmanians shouldn’t be punished with reduced access to healthcare because the Liberals have overseen 13 years of Government waste.

Health Minister Bridget Archer needs to explain how she will improve these wait times while she lets Eric Abetz cut $700 million from the health system.
