Where is Guy Barnett?

After delivering the worst budget in Tasmania’s history on his first attempt, the Treasurer has been completely missing in action from the election campaign.

He’s either been banned, or he’s too ashamed to show his face.

Whatever the answer, I hope he’s ok.

In Barnett’s absence, backbencher Simon Behrakis has popped up, issuing all sorts of made-up statements that no respecting Minister or Shadow would want in their name.

I won’t be lectured to by the Liberals, who have completely destroyed Tasmania’s finances after 11 years in government.

In contrast, Labor has outlined a comprehensive savings strategy which has been welcomed by the TCCI and Saul Eslake.

The TCCI has called on the Liberals to release their own savings plan, but it’s no surprise they haven’t.

If even Guy Barnett won’t put his name to something, you know it must be bad. That’s when you call in Behrakis.
