Yesterday, after continuing to peddle his wafer-thin argument that “frontline staff” won’t be affected by the Liberals’ health cuts, Premier Jeremy Rockliff was asked a very simple question – what does he consider to be a frontline health role?
His answer? We still don’t know.
In an obvious effort to cover up which roles are set to be slashed under the Liberals’ health cuts, the Premier blatantly refused to answer the question.
The Premier has another opportunity to define what a frontline health role is today.
If he can’t, how can he possibly guarantee frontline services won’t be affected by his health cuts?
As the AMA said: “Any loss to staff from catering to cleaning would impact patient care, at the end of the day the health system is about caring for patients, right place, right time and we’re not doing that.”
